  • Maintaining an online community for communicating and developing Petrean relationships
  • Organising sporting and social events
  • Supporting children of Petreans at Peterhouse if necessary
  • Supporting Peterhouse and Marondera Community events.

Provide value to the School by

  • Helping with fundraising initiatives

  • Providing non financial support to the school (professional advice or expertise, coaching, seminars or teaching, etc)
  • Helping support the endowment fund efforts for the school
  • Working with current school parents to further the interests of the group

The Petrean Society

The Petrean Society exists to maintain traditions and to promote the interests of the School, and to encourage mutual help between those who are and those who have been its members.

The Society consists of the Rector, all former pupils of Peterhouse, present members of Common Room, past Rectors and past members of the Common Room through application to the society.

Every member of the School is entitled to become a member of the Society, after payment of the life subscription (which is normally a part of the termly fees).

The Petrean Society Office, which is in housed in the Administration Block at Peterhouse Boys, actively encourages Petreans to stay in touch with one another.

The current Chairman and committee members of the Petrean Society are found on on the following link. /the-petrean-committee

KEEPING IN TOUCH

The Petrean Society, as the alumni organisation for former pupils and staff of the Peterhouse Group of Schools, works in partnership with the School, the Society is firmly committed to maintaining contact with its members through social media, email correspondence, social reunions, business networking and mentoring, as well as sporting events held at the School and other venues including the UK and RSA.

INTERNATIONAL EVENTS

Held during celebration years and anniversary, mainly in the Kk – but we are looking at expanding this to RSA, Australia, USA and Canada. We are actively looking for Petreans to organise events abroad with the help and guidance from the Development Office

REUNIONS AT SCHOOL

Held annually for certain year groups at the school, organised by the year group themselves with the help of the Development Officer.

PETREAN SPORTING EVENTS

Reunion weekends usually coincide with the annual Petrean Sporting events; in March we hold a Golf Day in Harare, and a Petrean Sports Day (Cricket/Tennis/Hockey) day at PH, and in July, the Beast Touch Rugby Festival is held over the Falcon weekend at PHB.
